Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed that sports chief Fredi Bobic will leave the Bundesliga club at the end of the season after an agreement has been reached for the early termination of his contract.
The 49-year-old has been heavily linked with a role with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin, a project Bobic likes after five years at Eintracht Frankfurt.
“The successes we have had during this period fill me with pride. We have changed a lot and achieved a lot. The Eintracht family has grown considerably in five years ”, said Bobic.
“My special thanks go to my colleagues on the Board of Directors and to all the sports staff. I would like to highlight the two coaches, Niko Kovac and Adi Hütter. I have always received the full support of the Supervisory Board, in particular from the current Honorary Chairman Wolfgang Steubing and his successor as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Philip Holzer, and I would like to thank them for this. We have always worked together in a very professional manner. “
