Chelsea are said to be preparing to face Paris Saint-Germain and other big European clubs for the signing of young Saint-Etienne Lucas Gourna-Douath.
17-year-old Lucas Gourna-Douath has had a decisive campaign under Claude Puel this quarter, making 25 appearances in the 2020-21 Ligue 1 season and starting 10 of those high-profile games.
The 17-year-old has received a lot of praise for his performances in the middle of the park, and with Saint-Étienne expecting to fundraise in search of new owners, the youngster could be available this summer.
As reported by Goal, Gourna-Douath could continue in the footsteps of former young Greens Kurt Zouma, William Saliba and Wesley Fofana moving to the Premier League, and Chelsea could sign him for £ 22million this summer.
Either way, the report adds that AC Milan and RB Leipzig are also watching the Saint-Etienne academy graduate, who has effectively made 4 appearances for the France Under-17 squad.
Gourna-Douath’s current deal with Saint-Etienne is expected to end towards the end of the 2022-23 season.
