Former Everton player Marcus Bent has claimed Watford’s Ismaila Sarr would be a great signing for the Toffees in the summer transfer window.
Sarr helped Watford return to the Premier League this weekend, where he scored the Hornets’ only 1-0 goal against Millwall, keeping his cool from the penalty spot.
After impressing in the Premier League before being relegated to the Sky Bet Championship, Sarr has scored 13 goals and assisted 10 this season.
Now, ahead of his Premier League return, former Everton player Marcus Bent has suggested Sarr would be a great option for the Blues.
The Toffees are reportedly in the market for a winger this summer, with Bernard and Alex Iwobi having failed to impress Carlo Ancelotti.
James Rodriguez has also been transferred to a central position in recent weeks, and Marcus Bent believes Sarr would be the ideal player to play away from the Colombian.
“He stayed at Watford and he scored a bunch of goals and promoted them. He’s on the rise, but he’s coming to an age where he’s showing maturity in his game, ”Bent told FootballFanCast.
“Being promoted, he’s always buzzing, plays in the Premier League, and he’s done really well. I think it would be a good decision for him and Everton.
SL View – Would Sarr be a good signing for Everton?
We would have to agree with Marcus Bent on this one, Sarr would be a nice signing for Everton this summer.
Despite the winger being right-handed, he is the perfect age for Everton, who are looking to reduce the average age of their squad.
At 23, Sarr has both maturity and potential, which is what the Blues need in their squad right now.
While not a cheap option, its value could only increase with a few impressive seasons under Carlo Ancelotti.
Another desirable trait is Sarr’s pace, with Ancelotti favoring counter-attacking tactics this season.
