Fabrizio Romano explained that Ibrahima Konate’s transfer to Liverpool “could take some time” due to the overall changes at RB Leipzig.
It comes from the Here We Go podcast, where the Italian confirmed the Frenchman’s Anfield change potential is still on the right track.
“Konate is going to Liverpool as announced a few days ago. The agreement is made with the player ”, said the Sky Sports reporter.
“Konate is about to join Liverpool, they just have to pay RB Leipzig the release clause.
“You know the timing – something might change because the manager is going to change and the new manager from Leipzig is going to change, so it’s a special time for RB Leipzig and that’s why it might take time.
“But Liverpool are ready to pay Konate’s release clause – they want to sign Konate – it’s only a matter of time.”
