Marko Arnautovic has been linked with a return to West Ham United at the end of this season.
According to reports (translated by Sportwitness) the 32-year-old could return to Europe this summer and the Hammers are currently watching him.
Crystal Palace is believed to be watching the player as well.
The Austrian has been a fan favorite during his two years at the London club and it will be interesting to see if he fancies a comeback this summer. He has 22 goals and 12 assists to his name in 65 appearances for the London side.
Apparently the Premier League club are ready to offer a salary of around € 4million per season.
The Hammers could certainly use more depth in their offense and Arnautovic could be a quality addition in the short term.
The Austrian knows the club and the Premier League well and he should be able to adapt instantly.
Currently, the Hammers are too dependent on Michail Antonio to score goals and the arrival of Arnautovic will give David Moyes much-needed options from the start.
Additionally, the 32-year-old can function as a winger as well and his versatility could come in handy as a team player.
The report further states that Italian club Bologna are also interested in signing the 32-year-old, but his salary offer is not as good as that of the Hammers.
It will be interesting to see what the player decides. The chance to play in the Premier League again will likely be tempting but he is unlikely to make a regular debut at West Ham.
Players like Bologna may be able to provide the Austria international of 87 caps with match-time guarantees.
