Changchun Yatai has kept his transfer plans firmly under wraps, but a local sports news agency in China believes one of their deals has been made.
According to Xinjiang Sports’ official Weibo account, Dilyimit Tudi is expected to play for Changchun Yatai in the 2020 season after an impressive loan spell at Xinjiang Tianshan Leopard in 2019.
The 20-year-old worked his way through Guangzhou Evergrande’s youth system, getting his first glimpse of professional football in the 2019 China League One season.
In 23 league appearances, Tudi has collected one goal and three assists while playing as a central defensive midfielder.
Despite his young age, Tudi has secured regular minutes in Xinjiang and seems to have a bright future ahead of him.
If his announced transfer to Changchun Yatai continues, it will be a step forward for the young Xinjiang native, with Samvel Babayan’s side hoping to make the jump to the Chinese Super League.
Tudi could win regular minutes again in northeast China, with Changchun expected to bolster a thin central midfield group consisting largely of Zhang Li and Li Guangwen, with very few options outside of the two.
His 21st birthday is less than three weeks away and playing for Changchun would give him a great opportunity to impress his parent club, with the deal likely to be loaned out again rather than a permanent one.
As the start of the 2020 season has been postponed, the lack of official signing announcements from Changchun Yatai is starting to worry fans, with a number of teams across the country already bringing a number of new faces.
If recent reports are to be believed, however, Babayan will bring at least two midfielders into this transfer window in the form of Tudi’s Hu Yanqiang and Beijing Guo’an.
