We got a few glimpses of what to expect DC series Titans when it comes back to HBO Max, like the great outfits we’ll see Starfire and Red Riding Hood switches into season three. Today, however, we had an important cast: Vincent Kartheiser comes on board as Dr Jonathan Crane.

The show’s own Twitter broke the news, featuring an image of the actor (whose best-known roles include Connor on angel and Pete Campbell on Mad Men; he was also on Netflix The OA) next to a comic book panel depicting Crane and his sinister alter ego, Scarecrow.

We have known since last year’s DC Fandom event that the character of Scarecrow would join the series, which seeks to raise the stakes between its Gotham City heroes and villains in its next season. While it’s not yet clear who will play another of season three’s big new additions, Barbara Gordon –Commissioner Barbara Gordon is– with Kartheiser now chosen, it looks like we might have more soon.

Speaking of things still unknown, we still don’t know when Titans season three will arrive on HBO Max.
