There have been rumors in recent weeks that Arsenal are for sale and could be bought by a new owner.
Well, former Arsenal star Thierry Henry has confirmed plans to buy the club from Kroenke.
Henry revealed that Spotify owner Daniel Ek contacted Kroenke to buy him the club.
According to reports, Ek is expected to make an offer of around £ 1.8bn for the Gunners before the end of the week.
The report adds that Ek is confident Kroenke will listen to the offer and has the full support of Henry and other Arsenal legends, including Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp.
Henry, in a statement on Monday Night Football, said: “I know a lot of people wanted to hear about it. [the takeover].
“It’s true. Daniel is an Arsenal fan. He didn’t say it for any publicity. He’s been an Arsenal fan for a very long time.
Henry noted that it was going to be long and not easy if it ever happened.
He did point out, however, that one thing he’s certain is that Daniel won’t be leaving, he’ll be there to see if they want to sell.
