Chelsea will return to action on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League when they host Spanish team Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues would head to the game with confidence after their 2-0 win over Fulham this weekend in the Premier League.
Chelsea also have a better chance of advancing to the UCL final this season, as they held Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Spain.
Ahead of the face-off, Chelsea received an increase in injuries as the report revealed that their defender Antonio Rudiger could be available for the game.
The report revealed that if Rudiger played for Chelsea he would have to do so with a face mask.
Recall that the German suffered a facial injury in the 1-1 draw in the first leg in Spain.
Reports have revealed that Rudiger trained with a face mask with the rest of Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
It would be a plus for Chelsea if Rudiger is available to play on Wednesday as they hope to win the UCL Trophy this season under Thomas Tuchel who took over from Frank Lampard in January this year following a poor exit from the latter.
