Brighton has valued defender Ben White at £ 50million amid interests from Man Utd and Liverpool.
The 23-year-old defender has enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 season with Brighton and has also replaced Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euro 2020 tournament which kicks off on 11 June.
According to Daily mail, as Brighton are desperate to keep their star defender, however, they would accept an offer of around £ 50million for him this summer.
Brighton reportedly turned down a £ 25million offer from Leeds United last season, where White spent a year on loan in the league.
The 23-year-old England defender has three more years on his current contract and reports from Brighton have hinted that they are now considering offering him a new improved contract to convince him to stay at the club.
White has made 36 Premier League appearances for Brighton in the 2020-21 campaign. He also made his England debut coming off the bench in the 1-0 win over Austria last week.
It is not certain that Liverpool and Man Utd are willing to pay that much for the defender. We’ll have to wait until the summer transfer window begins to see if any of them submit a transfer agreement.
