Liverpool midfielder Georgino Wijnaldum has reportedly signed a new contract with a new club ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report revealed that Wijnaldum has accepted a three-year contract with Ligue 1 senior Paris Saint Germain PSG and will join them at the end of his contract with the Reds at the end of this month.
Wijnaldum had also been linked with moves to Spanish club Barcelona with a report highlighting that the Catalans had reached a personal deal with the highest-rated midfielder.
however, The Guardian reports that Wijnaldum has now signed a three-year contract with PSG and that the deal will be finalized once he completes his medical exam.
The report revealed that current PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino had urged the club to move to Wijnaldum as he believed it would be to their advantage to sign an experienced player like him.
With this latest development, Liverpool are already looking for a new midfielder they hope to bring in to replace Wijnaldum.
Since joining Liverpool, Wijnaldum has made 237 appearances for the club and won the Premier League, Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup with them.
Barcelona have reportedly shifted their focus to Memphis Depay, who will also see his contract expire at Lyon this summer.
