Man City striker Riyad Mahrez has ruled out leaving the Premier League side amid Arsenal’s interest.
This is not the first time the Algerian will be linked with transfers to Arsenal.
Mahrez, who won the Premier League title with Leicester City in 2016, has been linked with transfers to the Emirates Stadium. However, he stayed at King Power Stadium for another two years before signing for Man City.
Mahrez played a leading role in Man City’s run to the Champions League final last season, although they lost the trophy to Chelsea, he claimed he was focused on his future at Manchester .
It comes after a report claimed Man City had put him and Raheem Sterling on sale this summer.
Talking to DZ Sport after scoring the winning goal in Algeria’s 1-0 win over Mali on Sunday, Mahrez spoke about his future at the Etihad stadium.
He said, “There is nothing for my future. I’m fine in Manchester. I will stay, God willing.
Recall that Mahrez finished the 2020-21 campaign with 14 goals and nine assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.
His contract with Man City doesn’t expire for two years.
