Chelsea have apparently received a significant boost in their quest for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland, with the player himself being inspired by a move to Stamford Bridge.
Thomas Tuchel is believed to be focusing on a move for another top striker this summer, with Tammy Abraham’s future questionable and Timo Werner trying to adjust to English football.
Much like Haaland, the Premier League giants have been asked to re-sign Romelu Lukaku, but the 28-year-old recently ruled out a transfer from Inter Milan this summer.
Either way, The Telegraph reports that Haaland would be excited about a move to Chelsea, and he’s happy to wait another year before teaming up with ex-Dortmund boss Tuchel.
Blacks and Yellows are obviously waiting for a £ 172million fee to clear Haaland out this summer, but Norway International’s release clause implies he could be available for a modest £ 66million in a year.
Haaland finished the 2020-21 campaign with 41 goals and 12 assists in 41 games in all competitions, and he recently claimed the winner for Norway in their 1-0 win over Luxembourg.
