Ahead of the summer transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur said in the latest statement that the club will only accept cash from any club wishing to sign Harry Kane.
Recall that a few weeks ago, Kane revealed his intention to leave Tottenham following the club’s failure to win a trophy.
Following England’s international statement, the top of the Premier League; Man City, UCL champions; Chelsea as well as UEL finalist, Man Utd had expressed interest in adding him to their squads.
Man City, for their part, had added the duo of Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to the deal to convince Tottenham to let them sign Kane.
However, the latest report revealed that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy wanted more than £ 150million for the England captain and would only accept a cash-only deal.
Levy is determined to add new players to his squad and believes that the money from Kane’s sales would be enough to make it happen.
With that, the Hotspurs aren’t moved by the additions Man City have added to their deal.
Spurs finished in seventh place in the Premier League table and left without a trophy for the 13th consecutive year, a decision they hope to change next season.
