High hopes for Wales fans with 96% believing they will step out of the group.

Welsh football fans are in a particularly confident mood ahead of the Euro 2020 tournament with 35% of fans believing they will reach the tournament quarter-finals this summer.
Research from 888 Sport also found that only 4% of Welsh fans believe they will be eliminated in the group stages of the tournament.
While most Welsh fans agreed on a perfectly respectable quarter-final, 10% of fans were even more optimistic and believed they could reach the semi-final or even the final.
And what about winning the prize you say? Well 8% of fans believe their country will get their hands on the top prize in the final at Wembley Stadium on the 11th.e July.
Welsh fans were also asked who they would support as the tournament’s second team. Almost a quarter (23%) chose England as the team they would most like to succeed if Wales did not progress from the group stage.
A spokesperson for 888Sport commented: “Wales were one of the most notable nations at Euro 2016, and it looks like these memories are an encouragement to their fans, with an incredible 96% of Welsh fans confident that they will come out of a delicate group.
“It’s great to see that confidence, and that fan hope, combined with some of the class featured in Wales’ starting XI, could make them an underdog that should not be overlooked.”
The survey was completed by 888 Sport as part of the Euro 2020 countryside.
