Former Chelsea and now Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is reportedly planning to raid Stamford Bridge when the summer transfer window begins.
Reports have revealed that one of the players Sarri is pressuring to sign from Chelsea this summer is goalkeeper Kepa Arizabalaga.
This is according to Alfredo Pedulla, an Italian journalist who claimed that Kepa was on Sarri’s watch list.
Recall that the Italian international coached Kepa during his time at Chelsea and seems to be looking forward to a reunion with him in Seria A.
Besides Kepa, the Italian has also included Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso and Ruben Loftus-Cheek on the list of players he wants to sign at Chelsea.
Sarri may be able to get the Blues to let him sign Kepa as well as Loftus-Cheek whom the Blues are said to be ready to sign this summer.
However, in Alonso’s case, it is unclear whether Chelsea will comply with the request to let him go this summer.
We’ll have to wait until the summer transfer window begins to know for sure which player would be allowed to leave.
Sarri took over from Lazio to Filippo Inzaghi, who had been at the club for five seasons.
